Frequently asked questions

How much does Etsy take from a $100 sale?

For a $100 item with $5 shipping and no Offsite Ads: $0.20 listing fee, $6.83 transaction fee (6.5% of $105), and $3.40 payment processing (3% of $105 plus $0.25), for $10.43 in total fees. You keep $94.57.

What is the difference between the listing fee and the transaction fee?

The listing fee is a flat $0.20 charged when you publish or renew a listing. The transaction fee is 6.5% of the total sale amount, including the shipping you charge the buyer, and applies when the item sells.

How does the Offsite Ads fee work?

If a sale comes from an Etsy Offsite Ad, Etsy adds a fee on the sale total: 12% for shops that earned $10,000 or more in the past 12 months, 15% for shops below that threshold. Use the selector above to match your shop.
